As of October, singers, songwriters and music makers are uploading 100,000 new songs every day to streaming services like Spotify. That is too much music. There's no reality, alternate or otherwise, wherein someone could conceivably listen to all that even in a thousand lifetimes. Whether you're into Japanese noise, Russian hardcore, Senegalese afro-house, Swedish doom metal, or Bay Area hip hop, the sheer scale of available listening options is paralyzing. It's a monumental problem that data scientist Glenn McDonald is working to solve.

I like this output, but I'm not too happy about the Space Needle drifting left. Since it seems to float around with different seeds, let's just keep it, and later on pick a seed that positions it better.

An incredible drone's-eye video that shows an unfortunate flying robot crashing into Seattle's famous Space Needle has just been released. The bizarre crash, which occurred on New Year's Eve, was captured by the drone's on-board camera. After filming a stunning view of downtown Seattle, the drone, which is hovering near the Space Needle's observation deck, suddenly accelerates and slams into the landmark's roof. Q13 Fox reports that the drone crashed about 575 feet above the ground and notes that the Space Needle was not damaged in the collision. It is not clear who was operating the drone at the time of the incident.
